Hey guys. What is the best way to go about lubing cable housings? Last time I dripped some of my wax based chain lube down the housings. Was this a bad idea?
any DRY lube (think teflon) works well. Anything else will just increase the buildup in the housing once stuff gets in (it WILL get in eventually). I like to throw a couple drops of dry in, nail it with the air compressor and watch ALL of the stuff come out, then repeat and you're good to go. If you don't have an air compressor, you can blow on it, try not to swallow much cause the teflon probly causes cancer
