    How do I rebuild the Shimano SPD pedal bearings?

    I have a set of the Shimano SPD DX pedals, with the aluminum cage surrounding them (Grey). The bearings are getting pretty loose and slopy, and would like to take them apart to inspect and maybe repack with grease or something.

    How do I access the spindle bearings in these pedals? Any tips, tricks, or words of wisdom?
