I've seen people talking about this before, but haven't been able to find any real good answers as of yet. I'm in the process of gathering parts to convert an XT QR hub (10x1mm QR axle) to accept a Hone RD (bolts on to a 10x1mm solid axle). I've already got the mech and the nut it attaches with, taking care of the right side. I think I like the way they've done the axle nut, it's tightened with an allen wrench, allowing me to use a multi tool to take the wheel on/off, instead of having to carry a regular wrench around all the time. I know when you buy the Hone hub new, it comes with a left side axle nut with the same allen head, but I don't feel like springing for a new wheel or hub and rebuild.
Does anyone know where I can find a nut like that? Or am I missing something. Any advice would be great. I'm thinking my LBS should be able to order it, but I haven't had time to make the trip and ask. Thanks in advance!
