Hey guys need help with new bike rough crank

So I just got my Talus 3 and the crank felt very rough and you could hear sounds coming from the crank when you pedaled hard on it. So I took it to the bike shop and he told me the crank was flimsy so he installed a new one on and every gear now it smooth expect 2-7 its a 21 speed bike. He had no clue what the sound was and everything is adjusted properly the sound is almost like a pop or and feels like a click.

Welcome to mtbr. Have fun with that new bike.

It could be the hanger needs truing, the limit screws checked, or a burr on the cable housing. Or it could be just new parts wearing in together and disappear. Most would take it back and have them check it.

Check if the chain is properly routed trough the rear dirrailleur.
It's easy to make a mistake when installing the chain, but it's also easy to correct.

By 2-7, do you mean it only happens when on the small chainring? Check the chainring bolts.

Sounds like one of your chain links is sticking. I had that happen to my setup. When I rolled the chain through the cogs I could see one link not bending.
