    Help - Truvativ Holzfeller

I'm wanting to change over from a 1x10 (Holzfeller 1.1) to a 2x10 on a Howitzer BB equipped bike, and can't for the life of me find out what the real difference is between these two cranks.

Does anyone know what's different, and thus why there is a price difference ?

Looks like the "MY10" refers to a 2010 model year, but AFAIK the cranks haven't changed since then.

I see they have the same Partner ID in the URL.
I'm pretty sure the MY10 is model year 10 - they are old stock. Not sure if there is any real difference. The spare parts manual only shows one set of parts for the Holzfeller cranks.
If you look at the Merlin page:
Truvativ Holzfeller 2.2 RG Chainset | Chainsets - MTB | Merlin Cycles
They do show the MY10 as a separate description. Also the OCT option.

Yea, I get that the OCT thing is the crank arm, but the MY10 & RG ??
I just can't find an answer ... I might need to drop an email, if no one can tell me, for sure.

I agree with Slash5, MY10 = Model Year 10'. RG = Rock Guard (bash). The cranks you are looking at have changed very little over the years. By the way, does your 1.1 have the bolt holes for a the granny ring, my Hussefelt 1.1 models do. If so, you may need only a ring and bolts.

No holes, the bosses are there, but it isn't drilled.

However, I did think about drilling and tapping the locations, but am unsure what, if any, spacers would be required, and the bosses are not machined flat ... They are in an as cast condition..
