Caution; Merge; Workers Ahead! HELP! Clicking noise on my Redline Monocog 29er SS

    HELP!!!
This stupid clicking noise is driving me crazy. So i have an 08 Redline Monocog SS 29er with this stupid clicking noise near Bottom bracket. The noise occurs after ever 3-4 full revolutions. I looked on the forums and replaced the following items in order:

    1. Replaced the pedals and greased.
    - Clicking still there
    2. Cleaned and regreased the OEM bottom bracket and tightened crank.
    -Clicking still there
    3. Replaced the chain to KMC Z410
    -Clicking still there
    4. Replaced Bottom Bracket to Shimano BB-UN55
    -Effing Clicking Still there!@!!!!

Now do you think it has to do with the alignment with the chain or the slack of the chain?

    Any help is appreciated.....

Hmmm the clicking is still there. I added more slack to the chain and thr clicking doesnt happen as often now. This is aggrevating. I also tightened the chainring bolts

My 2007 monocog does this to me. I've taken all the measures to fix it, I even have a completely different drivetrain in there. My conclusion is that with it being an aluminum frame that isn't very rigid like a road bike, it's bottom bracket flex is a bit more extreme, so when you stand on one pedal (and are unable to pull up on the upstroke of the other if you're using platforms) then the bottom bracket sways a fair bit to the side. This will cause the teeth of the front chain ring to bite the edge of the chain as it comes close to dropping.

Oh ok thanks. And yes ive stood on the pedals and also noticed alot of flex. I gues ill end the quest here and just save for a new frame over the winter.
