Help: BB30 crankset with std BB shell ?

Sorry if question has already been asked.
    I could not find it.
Can you use a crankset designed for a BB30 Bottom Bracket (e.g. FSA afterburner) with a standard external bearing Bottom bracket in a standard frame shell or is the spindle diameter bigger ?

Standard two piece crankset spindle is 24mm (or 24/22mm for SRAM)...BB30 is 30mm

Find an E13/The Hive BB30 external BB - goes in where a normal external BB would, and allows 30mm spindle cranks. I've never done this myself, but I can't see why it won't work.

Thanks to all. Probably too hard. I understand why BB30 cranksets don't find buyers even for cheap on eBay Australia....

The spindle will fit in the bearing cups but is the BB width correct? I do not know.

The trouble with common sense is it is no longer common

Anyone actually ran the BB30 crank with the hive BB cups? Were they the AM/DH cups or the XC cups?
