    Hammerschmidt installation question

    Hi Everyone-
I'm looking to install a hammerchmidt AM on my 2010 sx trail. It's a bit of a hassle to see if it'll work. I can't face the ISCG tabs because it'll void the warranty. They are apparently faced at the factory though and are within .008 inches of being perfectly even. they are offset from the bottom bracket shell by 3.78 mm, .78 more than the allowable limit by truvativ.
My questions are, has anyone mounted a hammerschmidt without facing the tabs? And does anyone else have a hammerchmidt mounted on tabs that are offset more than truvatic specs?
I've heard that tolerances are critical for this thing to work. Anyone think I'm being too uptight about this and I should just bolt it on and go ride?

i did my very first build this year a niner wfo 9, my frame was faced at the factory already. so it was really easy just bolt it up and ride.... just make sure you have the right bottom bracket tools, they are different on the right and left sides...
