    Front Derailleur Question

I'm building up a 2014 Mach 429 Alloy, and have run in to a snag, with the front derailleur.

I have an XT 11 speed group, and my old front derailleur is an E-type like I need, but it's a bottom pull, and I need top pull.

All the new M8000 XT stuff is side pull, and that's obviously not gonna work.

Can I use a 10 speed front mech., even though Shimano says it fits 38-28 chainrings, and I use 36-26? I was looking at this one:
Shimano XT M785-E2 E-Type Front Derailleur

Will this work with my chainring combination?
I need a cool saying to put here.

Yeah, but I need a top pull, and that's a bottom pull.

I need an E Type, and that link shows it's a down pull only. I got an old XT M785-E2 derailleur, for $17.00. I think I solved my problem!!

Sorry, for some reason I thought you wanted one with a clamp.

    Or could it?

I bought some internal routing cable stops and made my frame work with the side pull. Highly recommend.
