    Front derailleur help

I had a 2005 specialized stumpjumper that was too big for me. I finally found a 2007 frame that was the correct size. I'm swapping everything over and ran into a problem.

They changed the cable routing. The front derailleur cable on the old frame went under the bottom bracket and pulled down. This frame is setup to have the cable coming down the seat tube and will pull the cable up.

Do I need a new derailleur? The shifters I have are deore LX. If I do need a new derailleur will they work with my existing shifters?

    Thanks!
