    Front Derailleur

I currently have a Shimano LX front derailleur with SRAM x-9 components (shifters, rear derailleur, 9 speed cassette). I am looking at upgrading the front derailleur and am looking for recommendations.

The following are the options I am looking at:
    SRAM x9 front derailleur
    Shimano XTR front derailleur
    Shimano XT front derailleur

Any recommendations or suggestions would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    John

Ask yourself what the point of the upgrade is. If it's weight savings, then spend as much as you can afford. If it's performance, there's very little to be gained as all those front derailleurs work pretty much the same.

If it is not broken, do not replace it.

The trouble with common sense is it is no longer common

Save the money or spend it on something else.

Buy XO shifters instead. Much smoother than X9

HUH? My x9's feel exactly like my buddy's x0's!
