    Freehub issue / New Bike

Took my MKIII out for it's second ride last night, about 2 miles in, my chain started sagging when coasting, also when back pedaling it was even worse. Got off the bike and started to walk it down the trail, the pedals kept spinning. Problem kept occurring off and on during the ride. I basically had to pedal continuously during the ride. Got home sprayed bike off really good and could not replicate problem on stand. Any ideas? Thanks for your help.

Does sound like your freehub, what hub is it? I take it that this didn't happen the first ride?

Not sure what brand hub it is, OEM. Also, it did not happen the first ride.

Could be a break-in thing, keep an eye on it and take it back under warranty if it continues. It's likely a Shimano hub, but it could be something else. Shimano freehubs aren't really serviceable, but if you had a Morningstar Freehub Buddy you might try lubing it.
