E.13 xcx+ singe vs triple crankset - what's the actual difference?
Nobody seems to have this answer anywhere...
Aside from the obvious nubs to hold the smaller chainring, what's the difference between the e.13 xcx+ single and triple cranksets?
Should I find the triple at a significantly better price, will the weight be really close to that of the single if I strip two of the rings off and run it 1x9?
Can't totally answer your question, but that's what I did. Except I pulled all three rings off and put on an e13 Guide Ring. Not sure how the shift ring would work on a 1x9 -- unless you plan on using an XCX chain keeper or some other such device. I'm using an N-Gear Jump Stop on the inside and so far no bash on the outside.
Thanks, picked up a used xcx triple w/bb for $150 shipped. Will now have more options should 1x9 not be for me a good thing.
