    Drive train dilema

Tried to research this myself but newbie needs advice before spending $$

I want to upgrade crankset and BB on 2003 Kona Cinder and put old crankset on my bomber.

Will Shimano FC-440 crankset and BB (from 9-speed 22-32-44 and I think 113mm UN-25 BB) work with 7 speed cassette and Exage shifters.

What do I need to look out for when buying new crankset to maintain proper chainline?

Is it just getting the BB axle length right or is the chainring set up also variable with different cranks.

yes that will all work together.

Bottom bracket length is dependant on the chainset, but i would suggest you get a HTII chainset with external BB bearings, then it don't matter at all.
