    Dismantling (serviceable) ISIS bottom bracket?

    Hi guys,

I am in the process of selecting a non-integrated dismantling ISIS bottom bracket. I need long-life bearings since I often ride in a wet weather. Please advice a quality BB with good and not extremely expensive removable sealed bearings. The references on AM Classic are very negative, other dismantling ISIS BB I did not find.

Why bother with that if you can get a fully sealed ISIS SKF that should last for 5-10 years?

I live in Russia and often travel to the US for business. I tried to buy the SKF BXC-300(600) BB in both countries but I couldn’t find it in any local bike or internet shops. There are only SKF BBs for freeride and for road bikes available right now.

I could hardly believe that SKF BBs could run for 5-10 years because in this case only these BBs will be sold on the market. 5-10 years mean 15 000 to 40 000 miles for me in wet conditions and about as much in dry ones.

You can order the BXC 600 from mtbtandems.com

They also have the BXC 300 or both in freeride as well.

    Good luck!
