    Disassemble crank from frame?

    Hey everyone I have a very easy question here. I have a 2008 rockhopper and i'm trying to get the crank off the frame, and frankly i have no idea how (you can thank my superb bicycle knowledge). I take off the two bolts that are on the crank arms, and then i'm lost. Obviously something else needs to be done as they won't come off. The crank is a "Shimano FC-M341-8, replaceable rings, Octalink Spline". Thanks dudes.

    You need a crank extractor tool.
    Something like this:

    That's cool, but doesn't help OP who has Octallink BB.
