No, not good. Worth maybe $8 new, full retail.

Maybe if it were cleaned up real good and dipped in bronze it would make a good paper weight.

A $5000 bike???? They make bikes that expensive??

Good God man, you have got to be joking! That derailleur kicks ass! All the time, everywhere. Ride the hell out of it. I bet that's how you roll.

How is saying "not really" being an ass?

The guy wanted an honest opinion and got one. What's he supposed to do, handle this poor derailleur's sensitive feelings with kid gloves?

It's a piece of crap derailleur that you can find in the bike repair section at Long's Drugs. (along with some Kendas!)

That derauler will fail very easily. Being 5 spd means it is on a very old or very cheap (aka not good) bike. You can find a used bike for very cheap with better equipment than that.
Oh sh!+ just force upgraded to cat1. Now what?
Best thing about an ultra marathon? I just get to ride my bike for X hours!

I think what he meant was that it's a little too complicated to be a paperweight. Paper's get all caught up in it and sh!t.

    Now, a rock. That's a good paperweight.

We all learned somethings from this thread,
And all lessons the good and the bad are valuable.
