Deore XT vs. XT-- Sorry if asked before!

Hello everyone! Thanks for your patience if this has been asked a zillion times before. I tried to search!

My chain has stretched and it's going to be time to buy a new chain and cassette. Looking on bluesky, they have both a Shimano Deore XT M770 cassette AND a Shimano XT M770 cassette. Are they one and the same, just an older and newer version?

    Thanks!

They are the same, but could have different gears. Ex: 11-34, 12-32 etc.

Just buy the one which is cheaper.

(XT is XT regardless of the Deore moniker.)

XT is just a shortening of the full name of the groupset which is "Deore XT".
