Deore vs SLX crank
Does anyone know the weight of a deore crank?
I am going to a 2 ring bash set up and own a deore M532 crank. Its not much more to buy a complete SLX 2 ring setup ($40ish). I am wondering if it is worth the money.
Would there be a significant weight savings or difference in stiffness?

Never rode a Deore crank, but my SLX is pretty stiff, I haven't noticed any flex at all. Not too heavy either.
Curious what price have you foind on the SLX?

I bought my set of SLX cranks (double chainring) from Chain Reaction for $103.00. They are super stiff. Initial weight was 998 but after removing the Shimano bashguard and replacing it with a light aluminum one the weight was down to ~899.

The price was from Chainreaction.com. $103 US I am guessing, I am looking at Canadian funds which is about $120ish. This is compared to spending $75 on a bash and 36T chainring. Kind of seems like a bargain.

SLX for sure. I mean, the Deore is fine, but the SLX is a lot better...definitely 40 dollars better IMO, especially because you could probably sell the deore for a few bucks too.
