Bonking ... not feelin' well Crankset problem help a noob please

I recenlty bought my first mountain bike with FSA Gamma Drive ( http://www.mtbr.com/reviews/Crankset...t_125261.shtml ) Being a noob that I am, I installed the left pedal wrong way and now the threads are destroyed and it doesn't stay there.

I already emailed FSA about a replacement left arm crank but they are being slow about it. This is my spring break and I want to go back to riding as soon as possible. I was thinking of just buying a separate crankset without the buttom bracket and keep using FSA MegaExo buttom bracket, however I am not sure this is possible? If this is possible what would you recommend for about $100-150 that is compatible with MegaExo.

Another option is getting a new FSA crank arm but I can't find it being sold anywhere. Does anyone know where I can find it or link me to another brand crank arm that will fit?

    Thanks!

edit: this one looks more like what I have

Have your LBS install a helicoil thread replacement.

The trouble with common sense is it is no longer common

Oh thanks, didn't think of that. How well will that hold the pedal?

Hey Shiggy, is the "helicoil thread replacement" something every LBS has handy?
