Crankbrothers candy sl - broken spring

    Hi people,

My Candy SL gave up on me yesterday, the blue spring that holds wings broke off, and now it's impossible to clip in. I don't have a problem with that, but after a short googling it seems there is no option of buying this spring separetly. There are all sorts of replacement parts but no springs. So what's up with that?

Still have to chech it in my LBS (it's sunday, I have to wait till morow), but it's lame if it shows springs are unavailable.

    Any ideas?

The SL's are no longer avail. CB now have the Candy 1,2,3 and 11.

How old are your SL's. CB had a 2 year warranty on the SL's. But the new stuff has a 5 year warranty.

If you are within your 2 years, send it in to CB and they will take care of it for you. You can fill out the Warranty Request form directly from their website and send them in yourself. No need to go through a LBS.

They are almost 4 years old and have around 9000km on them so no warranty anymore. And I live in eastern Europe, sending them to LA and back again is kind of pointless

Anyway, I've just found a guy selling almost new Candy C (2 rides) on local classifieds for a fair price and will buy them. Also will ask in LBS for spring availability, maybe I could bring my SL's back to life.
