by removing the largest ring and replacing it with a bashguard. I'm thinking about getting a BBG bashguard.

My question is what size? Do I need to get a bashguard size of 104BCD 32t (or 34t)? I will probably need longer bolts so that the guard will not press right against the middle ring and preventing the chain from going in. Where can I get them?

Also, for those into color coordination: My bike is an all-black bike, but I'm going to add some red highlights: anodized red skewers, red seatpost clamp, lock-on grips with red lock rings...and should I get a RED bashguard? Would that be pimp?

Existing bolts work fine, the bashguard goes on the outside of the tabs where the big ring is.

32t bashguard is designed to cover a 32t chainring and chain with a bit of room to spare. You could get a 34t bashguard in case you ever want to try a larger ring up front though
