    citrus chain cleaner alternative?

So this citrus cleaner gets expensive fast as you know. Is there a homemade alternative? A homebrew?

Warm dishwater perhaps? Just looking for others opinions on what they use instead of constantly buying the chin cleaner.

The citrus stuff does work really well though, and do highly recommend it.

Are you referring to the bicycle-specific stuff sold in small bottles?

Citrus degreaser is pretty cheap at the hardware store.

I use a dash of windex or mr. clean's floor degresser. Either cuts the grease right of the chain. One of my blowhard friends has lectured me on the potential metalurgical changes that could beset my chain due to my eccentric and cheap product selection. I'm unconvinced. and my chain is sparkly clean....
