    Chainslap Question

is it true that sram derailleurs do away with chainslap? i've heard that the springs are considerably more powerful than those on shimano's rear derailleurs.

not hearing rattling noises would be a real blessing.

yes, somewhere on this board there was a couple of videos posted from a supposedly non-biased source, of both a correctly setup Sram X.0 and Shimano XTR r. derailleurs on the same bike, and riding on the same terrain. Well, the camera view I remember was from the side, and showed considerably LESS chain-slap and bounce with the Sram setup. The Shimano was all over the place, looked horrible!!
anyway, I'm sure you can find it in a search somewhere around here....
