Chain popped a bushing - OK to ride?

I discovered a small bushing under my bike yesterday and finally discovered where it came from - my chain. When you look straight down on your chain, it's the bushings you see between the plates and around the pins.

The bushing has about a third of it missing and that's why it fell out.

Would you continue riding, or does this necessitate a trip to the LBS for service or a new chain?

It is a roller, not a bushing. Current multigear chains are actually bushingless.

Replace the chain. And check for other wear and damage. Chains do not just fall apart.
