    chain langth for 1x9 with short rd?

    How many links should it be?

    same with any.. it depends on the frame, gear sizes... bla bla bla... always use the..
    wrap around largest rear and largest front and add 2 links... (not thru any derail's!!)

    Now i have 114 links on 36t front and 11-34 back and long cage.. so with sort cage i should lose some links? Or its ok as is?

    cage length does not determine chain length. It's the other way round - chain length determines what derailleur you need.

    It is neither. The big/big gear combo (and chainstay length) determines the chain length. Has no affect on which RD is used.

    Total gearing range determines the RD cage length needed
