    Chain Jumps only when wet

I was riding this weekend and the trails were wetter than I expected. Consequently, I, and my bike, got covered in mud. For the first time my chain started jumping around on the cassette. It would slip form one gear to the next or it would slip off the gear and then back to the same gear. Highly annoying. Two days later - same trails, but dry. Chain never moved. Any suggestions?

FYI - Recently put on a new XT RD and a SRAM 68 chain. Running a SRAM 5.0 cassette.

it's the mud, not the moisture

I would suspect the mud and seriously doubt your problem has anything to do with whether your chain is dry or wet. Use a quality wet lube like Finish Line XC. And try hard to avoid mud. Riding in mud isn't good for the bike or the trail.
