I bought a pair of Mavic Crossmax today when I put my XT cassette it feels sloppy like it not all the tight. It feels like it needs to be shimmed out. I have never had a problem like this before, always when changing cassettes they tighten right up. I was wondering if anyone has any info for me.
From my own experience, I know that some wheelsets (specifically some Mavics) come with spacers. I'm no expert but I believe you have to slide the spacer on the freehub before you slide the cassette on (for certain cassettes). Otherwise, the small cog and lockring cannot compress the others.
