I would love to know if any bike can be setup with a 2x10 speed drivetrain. I have an 08 BMC Trailfox and have been told that it is not really designed to be run with a 10 speed drivetrain. It has a standard 68mm bb shell and a dw-link like suspension with a typical geometry. With all the spacers out there, I would think it could be done, seeing it came out, back in the day with 3x9. I have a SRAM 1400 26/39 crank and an X7 med cage rear der - nothing fancy. My mechanic is giving me signals that it may not go on this frame. Would a 1x10 setup help bail me out (32T), running the same crank be a go?
