Cable Jump on SRAM x7 Rear Der.

I have an '07 SantaCruz bullit with a replaced X9 Rear shift pod and the stock 07 X7 rear derailleur. I am having huge problems with the cable jumping out of the exterior holding groove on the derailleur anytime I hit some rocks or technical sections, and for sure anytime I hit a drop. Anybody had this problem? I just replaced housings and cables and everything is setup solid. I am a former shop owner and mechanic, and this has me stumped. My chain is a little on the long side, maybee a link or two to long which I'm going to mess with tonight. Could that be what's causing this?

Sounds like the cable is loose? Otherwise, it should be very tight at that location. Cable path is also
