Rebuilding a mid 90's Trek 930 and I have come to the bottom bracket. The cranks are removed and I have the Park Tool BBP-32 so I just need to know how this is done and what to expect. I checked out Park's how to website but they show many different styles and I have no clue what type I have. (rookie here)
There are instructions for removal on the back of the BBP-32 package but am I going to find loose bearings back there? Do I need to make any kind of reference of anything for when I reassemble?
Before I rip this apart I just want to have a basic understanding of the process.
Edit - If I can add I think this is what I am up against.
Also when I turned everything with the cranks on it was easy sailing and nice and smooth. Without the cranks on when I turn everything I feel grinding etc. If I have the cartridge type can they be rebuilt or do I have to replace it with a new one?
