    boone chainring issues

i just installed my new 20 and 31 tooth chainrings from boone today. my problem is that boone made the teeth too long, so the chain get's caught up on the top of the tooth and cannot drop down. the chain will drop onto part of the chainring but then gets caught up later on in the rotation

    anyone else have this problem?

tried a new chain and a chain w/ about 100 miles on it. doesn't matter either way there's no way the chain could stretch that much to allow the pins to seat properly.

and if it did my cassette would be toast

You could give him a call, or email him to see what your options are. Or you could grab a file and remove some height off of the offending teeth.

Strange, I've not had that problem

I'm using a 20T and 30T rings and not haveing any problem. I got these about 6 weeks back, they have some shorter, cut down teeth and ramping to help shift on the middle ring. The 20T granny is plan.

I also have a 24T granny and no problems with this one either.

How much does the teeth protrude above the chain?

That would be my question Gav plus "How long does the chain measure over 12" (24 pins)?"
