    Bombshell Proshift Rear Derailleur

    Hi,

Does the Bombshell Proshift (http://www.mtbr.com/reviews/Deraille...ct_20836.shtml) need any special type of shifters, or do Sram/Shimano (I know they're not the same actuation) shifters work fine?

These are compatoble with Shimano shifters, as well as SRAM's 2:1 ratio shifters.

They are not compatible with SRAM ESP stuff with 1:1 ratio (X. stuff)

    You Forgot To Add....

    that they work like garbage!

Just like all the failed american attempts to make a derailleur. Paul's, Joes's, White Industries, Rhyno, and the Precision Billet(Bombshell) are all pretty and expensive (especially now when people pay more than original MSRP for a used one ) and shift worse than a Shimano Alivo unit.

    Nice eye candy though.

    Really... hmm... that's terrible info

Thanks for the heads up. Can anybody else verify what Shayne said? My XT is beginning to crap out (ghost shifting, bent cage) and I'm thinking of getting something else. The new 2008 XTs look nice and strong, and I can stay with my shifter.
