    BB Bearing Installed backwards

Can bottom bracket bearings be installed backwards? I pulled of my dust cap and dust seal to do a spring lube job, and found what looked like the bearing spacer to be in the way of placing any grease. If I pull this I'm sure all the bearing will be sitting loose inside their races. Is this typical - it is for a FSA MegaExo BB ( I have not pulled the other side)?

Those FSA BB's are weird. I had one that had the fixed cup on the non-drive side. And the drive side arrow on the actual BB pointed to the fixed cup. But because of the threads, you couldn't install it that way. It has to be installed "backwards".
