    Bashguard for Firex

What bash guard would fit the Truvativ Fire X SL crank? I read that a Blackspire bash guard would work but what model?

most bashguards that run a 4 bolt 104bcd pattern will fit

I personally use a BBG on my FireX cranks

Just look for one to fit your bolt pattern and you're all done. Great service from the owner, Erin, and these things are pretty tough.

    Last question.

The 44t, I assume, is the amount of teeth the chainring would have and is, therefore, telling me the size of the bash guard. If I plan on using the bashguard instead of my outer (44t) chain ring should it be a 40t size or something a bit smaller?

Pick the size that matches most closely to your middle ring

The 44T reference tells you what size chainring the bashguard will cover. I have a 32T guard over my 32T ring:

I ended up getting a BBG Bash guard. Just can't beat the price after I just drop money on front and rear suspension shocks.

    Thanks.
