Bash guard for Sugino 5 bolt 42 tooth setup

Hey everyone, first off I want to say excuse me if I am using the wrong terminology... I have been lurking on the site on and off for a while, haven't posted much, great site you all have going here!!!

I have a Specialized Stumpjumper, I am not certain on the year, but I think its a '99 or 2000 - and I want to get a bash guard for it. One that does not eliminate the large 42 tooth sprocket. I went to a local shop and they had a hard time finding one for me, everyone we tried was the incorrect bolt pattern. Then they realized it was a Sugino crank (5 bolt pattern with one bolt behind the crank arm), and they told me to look online, I might have better luck searching for a company called Engagement Ring.

So i looked online and found a few brands, but I am still not 100% certain which will fit. Mainly because I am measuring the distance on the bolt holes on the crank and it appears to be 90mm's from the center of one bolt hole to another (skipping one bolt). The ones listed say they are 94mm. Am I measuring incorrectly?? And, can I opt for a bash guard made for a 46 tooth sprocket for more clearance?

Any help would be greatly appreciated... and yes, I do use the large 42 tooth sprocket occasionally, i didn't want to remove it. Thanks!!!!

The brands that I think fit are:
    Heim Super-D Bashguard https://www.cambriabike.com/shopexd.asp?id=13653
    Blackspire Big Ring Protector http://www.blackspire.com/chain-guar...ring-protector
    Engagement Ring Toothfairy http://www.bikeusa.com/components/ch...hainrings5.htm

Some pictures of them, although the only ACTUAL picture that I'd be getting is the 1st, from Heim. The other pics just represent the brand, not the one for the Sugino crank.

you likely have a 94 BCD (bolt circle diameter), so you're not measuring the diameter. most mtb cranks since the mid-90's are compact (94 bcd), but there's still 'standard' mtn cranks around that are 110mm bcd.... now these are 5 arm I'm talking about.
To make things even more interesting, road compact = mtn standard, and it goes from there!
here's a page that describes how to measure from adjacent bolt holes.

yes, it looks like the heim will work (that's a new one to me) and the blackspire is designed for using triple rings.
The engagement rings havn't been made in a long time, but perhaps the bikeusa guys do have old stock... i don't recall for sure if they're designed to keep the big ring, but it would appear so from their sizes listed.

Another one to keep an eye out for is the girvin rockring, they come up on ebay from time to time.

Thanks Logbiter. I measured 55mm and then multiplying that by 1.7 gives me 93.5. 94 it is!!! I am going to try to get the Blackspire, it looks like its the most heavy duty out of the three.
