    back pedalling

I have been dealing with some ghost shifting over the last month. Have tried all the usual suspects (cables, cassette, chain rings etc) to no avail. One thing I did notice was when I back pedal, I drop down two cogs off the back and eventually drop down one off the chain-rings.

Any suggestion on where to look or what to do next

I rebuilt the upper pivot of the rear derailleur last night which includes the return spring for the b tension screw. Took the bike out for some intervals up my local hill (7% -18%) without any ghost shifting so the big problem is addressed. Still drops a cog when pedaling backwards, but that looks like it something I will have to play around with (will look into the chainline most likely).

    Thanks everyone for their help
