    747's...yeah I know...old, but...

    Hey All,
    I want to service my faithful Shimano 747's...anyone know what size bearings I need?

    The axle is the same in a lot of the SPD's, if you look on Shimano website/pedals and look at the blow-up of parts it states they are 3/32. With the right tool, TLPD-40 you unscrew the axle and re-build, repack the bearings. Used mine for about 10 years or so, just replaced them with 770's. Good luck with that!!
