    3 Speed Drivetrain - Help!!!

I recently bought an ol' skool Kona Humu One. The bike has horizontal dropouts and takes a 110mm rear hub. I wanted to build the bike up as a path bike for family rides and got the bright idea about running a 1x3 drivetrain after I came across this:

Profile racing BMX Race 3-Speed Cassette Rear Hub.

Just wondering if anyone has an experience (good or bad) with this hub. Any information in general would be great.

    works fine

Seems to work fine. Biggest problem is no cable stops on the frame. So you have to use old-style clamp on stops or "Roadmaster" full housing run with zip ties. I would use a thumb shifter made from using a road bar end shifter and the gizmo from Paul's that turns it into a thumb shifter. The hub comes with it's own hanger that is stabillized by the clamping force of the axle bolt. You will need three 8sp. cogs and two 8sp. spacers and a HG lockring. You may also find the need for a chain guide for the front chain wheel or set it up with more tension on the chain. I hpoe this helps you some.
