    2 x 9 setup help

Does anyone know who makes a crankset with a granny and, say a 32 tooth ring. Everything seems to be 32 to 44 tooth, which i don't need. Thanks in advance.

Buy a triple and remove the large ring. The chainring bolts will be too long, you'll need to replace them with shorter ones which are fairly easy to find. Either that, or replace the large ring with a bash guard.

Thanks, Socalal. I already have done this on my Dos niner, and although i seems fine after about a month of use, i was just wondering if a vendor made one as standard. Hopfully this will hold up so i can do it to the rest of my fleet. Thanks for the help!!

I will let you know when triple crank being used with just granny/middle rings fails.

Been running it for 17 years so far.

The trouble with common sense is it is no longer common
