Carbon cage? Interesting from Shimano, which has traditionally been carbon-shy.

    Could It Be Any Bigger?

Geez, I don't think my crank arms are that long.

What happened to the days of SS cages?

it is also available in short cage... and it doesn't seem any bigger than the "normal" long cage

It takes the place of the kickstand. You'll be able to prop the bike up with it.

That looks HOT!!! I think the best news is it's a regular rise high normal and none of that low-normal rapid-demise b.s. I see a new XT rear derailleur in my future. I'm sure that XTR will be well out of my comfort zone on pricing without any real benefits.

I bet that thing will be priced at over $250 the way Shimano keeps going with their pricing strategy.

    I like these "XTR" letters!

Apparently, they are made to sustain weight reasonably higher than it's declared in real life (I mean to keep mud in grooves and cavities around the letters). Little retribution for bling factor.
