Whiteface Mt. Bike Park: April season pass sale

The Whiteface Mt. Bike Park is selling 50 discounted season passes this April. That's the same great deal as in 2010. The money from this sale will go 100% into trail projects.

How is Whiteface? It is a long haul from my house, but might make it into a big road-trip. Is a full DH sled a necessity on the trails from the summit, or will a more FR-ish bike (SX Trail) do well? From what I have heard lately, terrain is mostly natural DH. What manmade features/jump trails are there?
You better just go ahead and drop that seatpost down to the reflector... the trail gets pretty rough down there.

More and more wooden features each year.
The most recent pictures from last season can be found on our Facebook page:

Tons of other pictures on our website:

This bike park has been run as a private business by a coupe of downhillers for the last 7 years, so jump lines have always been out of our budget. However, we have been growing every year, so watch out!

You can do the top on an SX Trail but you'll wish you had more bike> If you are light and smooth you may be okay. Expect 20 to 25 minutes per run if you are riding with your friends.

I will have Bike n Stays on our site as the season gets closer. Last year the Bike n Stays started at $59.00 per night. That included your $35.00 lift pass, room and breakfast.
