    wheels rim

    Hi all,

I currently ride a 2010 Canfield Jedi, it has served me well and i decided to order the 2017 version in 27.5...

so i need to rebuild new wheels for the new frame.

Now I have not been following the DH scene much for the past 5 years so i'M not up to date a new equipment.

What are good rims to buy that wont break the bank these days?
expensive cars are a waste of money. Expensive bikes...not so much!

I've had pretty good luck with the Spank Spike Race33 which measures out to i28 if I recall correctly.

I ran the Race28 in 26" for 3 seasons without issue on my Canfield The One, and I've now got a full season of park/freeride and AM riding on the Race33s on my Balance, including 12 full days (open to close) at Whistler.

My riding weight has ranged up to 225lbs (thankfully much less right now), and no issues whatsoever, other than I did ding the rear rim bead in Moab this spring (user error, smashing rock ledges with way too low PSI), It held air and I straightened it right out.

Like you, I just ordered a '17 Jedi (that deal was impossible to pass up), and I'll be building up another set of Hope Pro4s laced to Race33s for that build as well.

I ended up buying a spank spoon wheelset from CRC. Apparently they are bombproof wich is the way i like my bikes!
I now have to decide on a fork.
