    TLD Descender Protector?

was just looking at the TLD website and i downloaded the MTB cataloague and was looking and saw this thing. Looks pretty good, like a daineese. Wondering if anyone has any experience with them. Because they look like a good alternative to 661 without haveing to dish out $350 (its 180$)

    Where do I start...

It's made of mesh, so you better wear something under it because it's kind of rough on the skin and itches. It has no shoulder adjust straps so you cannot tighten it up if you happen to have a smaller chest or lossen for wider shoulders, so not much adjustment. Back plate doesn't cover the small of the back, not good. Don't know how many times you've dogpiled into a rockgardn, but I'd prefer to know my backs covered. I could go on, but I think you get where I'm going with this.

There are much better items for the money, especially when you consider the ROCKGARDN Flak Jacket is only $20.00 more and offers much better fit and protection.

as far as im concerned the decender protector is the lighter weight and less protective version of the Leather Speed Jacket which is the equvilant of a Pressure Suit etc...

there supposed to be light and manevourable...if your looking of masses of protection then you get the Leather Speed Jacket...

and of course its going to be good...everything with TLD on it is...

    um no it's not...
although his is long. but his has quite a bit more meaning than yours in my opinion.
why not just get a rockgardn or 661? they aren't too much more.
