Have you considered some fork skins? I have Lizard Skins on my S8. I got new seals, changed the oil and then put on the skins. They not only protect the stanchions like guards but also keep the seals clean from dirt, keeping my fork leak-free also. Best $20 I ever spent on the fork. They might be more available than guards also.

    let's roll

if you cant find them anywhere online etc, i know how you can make a very close replica to the stock ones. go to home depot and get a fluroscent(sp) light bulb tube/case. there clear and they come in sizes from 1 inch to like 3 inches around. there clear liek the go-ride ones and the tubes are only like 5$ takes those cut them in 3/4 of the tube and then mount with either a zip tie , or some sort of bolt on clip. there cheap and effective no doubt. if i had a inverted fork i would easily do it.
Looking for a 7.87 x 2.25mm shock, any brand any age that runs well!! cheap would be appreciated!
