Stay with my Switch SL or swap for a Shore?

Currently have a 2004 Rocky Mountain Switch SL, have the chance to trade frames for a 2005 Norco Shore. Any thoughts? I do a decent amount of downhill and goofing off... Think trading frames and a extra $100 is worth an extra 2" of rear travel?

How are they for short climbs?

i think it's a lateral move. they don't really have a huge resale value. i suppose the $100 would be enough to make it worth it. the travel will help as well.

Cool, thanks for the info. Any idea if a 170mm travel fork would work with that frame or would I be wanting/needing to to go to 200mm?
