    Specialized big hit spec

My friend just got a specialized big hit spec from a guy on craigslist. It's in almost perfect condition, but the rear shock isn't that great. Will any other shocks fit with it?
It's wierd but his shock dosent have the piggyback thing on it. Does this matter at all?
It's a pretty nice bike though... I thought that big hit specs were cheap and trashy but I kinda like it...

search the Specialized website for the stock length and stroke...for example...8.75 x 2.5.
then troll the classifieds for a replacement.

Please don't take offense...but if you are seriously asking if the piggyback really matters, then maybe the shock is fine and you just need to learn how to adjust it properly?

Did not the older models come with just a coil over?
