Should I sell my GF Roscoe 3 and get a real DH bike?

    Hello everyone!

I bought used Gary Fisher Roscoe 3 for All Mountain XC some time ago.

However, after I went to Mountain Creek Bike park I realized that I don't want to do anything but downhill!

What would you guys suggest as for begginer in DH/FR maybe Enduro.

Should I keep my GF Roscoe 3 and keep learning improving my skills with it or should I sell it and buy some real DH/FR bike?

Downhill is super fun, but you have to take into account how often you can go to resorts or set up shuttle cars. Most people find that it takes a lot more effort than they had anticipated to ride a lot of dh. That's one reason that a good percentage of the world's DH bikes are sitting in garages, not being ridden, gathering dust. If you have the means (financial and other) to go to bike parks all the time, then sure. Get a DH bike and be the envy of all of those that don't get to ride very much. But if you don't have that ease of access, it might not be the best idea. Better to go with a good, solid AM bike. My personal favorites in that category are Canfield, Santa Cruz, Yeti, and Giant. They all make bikes that can handle lighter days at the resort, but are able to be pedaled so that you can go riding on any type of trail you want without a shuttle driver.

    Thanks for advice man!
I got myself Giant Glory and sold the roscoe 3.
I figured that all the upgrades gonna cost more in the end, than just to buy a complete downhill bike.
