Shortest direct mount stem for 888?

I'm considering the Azonic or Sunline, but I'd actually prefer something shorter (30 to 40mm). Anything else out there?

If not, anyone have any opinions/comparisons of the two I mentioned?

Much as love the Chromag boys, that stem is a friggen tank.
The Sunline one is the one i picked up, and would recommend it. Other than wishing Marzocchi would just use the SRAM design, there isn't much else to do.

Good call on the Chromag, I forgot about that company. I don't care about the weight at all, although I think its looks leave something to be desired...but I ride a Big Hit so I shouldn't care about that much, huh?

Anyone know how much the Eighty-eight sells for? Any internet dealers sell Chromag?

Looks nice, but the stem length is no shorter than the Sunline. Plus, $180 is a bit more than I want to spend.

The Chromag doesn't actually look all that heavy, single clamping bolt, low height, and it is hollow on the inside.

If you've got the whereabouts of a Marzocchi-made direct mount stem for an 888 that's shorter than 45mm then fill me in.

    Just to reinterate...

I'm looking for a direct mount stem for a 2007 Marzocchi 888, must be shorter than 45mm. It must be strong and stiff, the weight doesn't matter. Under $100 retail would be great, under $70 would be even better. I do not want to replace the crowns and steerer...unnecessary and too expensive.

The Marzocchi model and some others are out of the running due to length, cost or both.

I currently have a Truvativ Husse-Holtz-something-or-other on there, 40mm. I'd like to keep that length or go shorter (preferably shorter).
