    reach-rider height

i am about to buy a dh bike.

    is 17.3 in (44cm) too much of a reach for a 6'0'' (1,83m) rider?

it is a large size and the medium has 1in shorter reach (16.3in-41,5 cm).

(stem is 45mm, so i guess i can't storten it much)

what do you think? large or medium?

    under 35 go medium
    older 35 go large

the large you would be able to reach easily

    I'm 6' / 183cm as well. 16.3" (41.5cm) reach is spot on for me with a 50mm stem. I'd consider 44cm too long.

Then again, you can get ~30mm direct mount stems.
wanted: Cannondale Lefty w/ V-brake studs
